One story.
One system.
Every Tuesday.
Not a tips newsletter. Not a listicle. Not recycled industry advice dressed up in a new subject line.
Every issue opens with a human moment. A specific scene. Someone breaking under something that didn't have to break them — in a kitchen or in their life outside it.
Then we find the system underneath. The thing that was missing. The thing you can install this week.
Written from Dawson City, Yukon. Population 1,300. Where the nearest supplier is four hours away and there's nowhere to hide when your systems fail.

01
The human story A real scene. A real breaking point. Kitchen or life — both run on the same systems logic.
-
02
What was actually missing Not the person's fault. The absent system. Named clearly, no consulting jargon.
-
03
One thing you can install Not a 47-step framework. One thing. Built for someone running at 60% capacity — because that's where most operators live.

Kitchen and life — both Some weeks it's a service meltdown. Some weeks it's sobriety, isolation, sleep, or what 20,000 steps a day does to your thinking. The systems are the same.
"I didn't work harder. I built systems. Recovery frameworks applied to a restaurant. Same logic. Different kitchen."
In 2022 I was $370,000 in debt running a seasonal kitchen at the edge of the Canadian Yukon. 145-day season. 80-hour weeks. No safety net. I had been white-knuckling it for years and had nothing to show for it except exhaustion and a collapsing operation.
Getting sober showed me what was actually broken. Not the people — the absence of systems. Pre-decided responses to every recurring situation. No exceptions. No negotiation. Behavior leads belief.
64°N Weekly is what I wish I had when everything was falling apart. One honest story. One thing that works. Every Tuesday — from the same place I rebuilt everything.

Done white-knuckling it?
"I lost everything and rebuilt it with systems, not hustle.
This is what I wish I had."
